When teamwork feels harder than it should,
reset expectations and agree how to work differently
Team ReSet programme
Often, what goes stuck is not the people but the patterns or habits between them.
Decisions don’t stick. Ownership feels unclear. Meetings create discussion without movement. A Team ReSet programme combines a short Team RQ diagnostic with a facilitated half-day workshop. It helps the team make those patterns visible and agree practical ways forward.
Could a Team ReSet help your team?
Ideal for teams where:
- decisions are repeatedly revisited
- meetings lack energy and momentum
- rework and workarounds are increasing
- trust or collaboration is strained
- expectations and accountabilities are unclear as a result of organisational change
Reset expectations. Reconnect the team.
Sweet spot purchase.Far faster than a culture programme, deeper than an away day.

The Team ReSet helps create space to …
pause, take stock, and build on what’s working

name and shift what’s getting in the way

reflect and share honestly
…in a way that promotes:
coherence around roles and expectations
congruence to meet conflicting stakeholder demands
competence, adaptability, accountability and responsibility
confidence to offer connection, compassion, collaboration
Your Team ReSet journey
Every team already has strengths, history and hard-won knowledge. The Team ReSet programme does not arrive with a verdict or ready-made answer. It creates space for different experiences, explores the whole team system and turns insight into a team-owned agreement. We pay attention to how the team makes decisions, handles difference, uses influence and coordinates work under pressure. Our role is to provide enough safety, structure and challenge for the team to see itself clearly and take ownership of what happens next.
Recognise
Initial conversation
You notice in the team there are individual interpretations, unspoken assumptions, unclear expectations, and/or activity without progress. We discuss your requirements and aims.

Reflect
Team brief and diagnostic completion
We explore with the team what the ReSet needs to achieve including purpose, outcomes, confidentiality and boundaries. Each person then completes a short, confidential Team RQ diagnostic.

Request
Workshop session
In a facilitated half-day workshop, the diagnostic results help the team to review strengths, patterns of friction, and team norms, to help better meet people’s expectations and needs.

Reset
Outcomes and experiments
The team leaves the workshop with shared understanding, a team agreement, clear priorities and ownership, and creating practical signs of progress.

Review
Evaluation and next steps
A follow up rerun of the diagnostic and an accountability session around progress made.
The aim of a Team ReSet is clearer, healthier and more effective everyday teamwork.

The diagnostic is a mirror and a doorway into conversation, not a verdict on the team.

Could a Team ReSet make work feel easier in your team?
In a 20–30 minute conversation, we’ll explore what is happening in the team and, together, agree whether a Team ReSet is the right next step. If it isn’t, we’ll say so. I look forward to our conversation.
FAQs
How is a Team ReSet different from a team away day / offsite?
Compared to a typical offsite, this programme is: diagnostic-led (not just discussion-led); focused on how work happens (decisions, ownership, expectations), not just connection; and designed to produce practical agreements and ownership, not a list of hopeful intentions. It is built for teams under pressure who need change to show up in Monday’s meeting, not just feel good on the day.
Scepticism is welcome, we make it useful data, not something to push past. That scepticism is often a signal of lived experience, too many workshops with too little change. A Team ReSet is designed to be practical, evidence-informed, and outcome-led. It starts with a short diagnostic (10–15 minutes per person), so the team workshop session isn’t based on loudest, fastest opinions alone. We focus on patterns in how work gets done (decisions, ownership, communication). The goal is shared understanding, clear team agreements and next steps, not “forced fun” or generic team-building.
Is this for a whole department or a leadership team?
The programme is ideally suited to department leadership teams of 5 to 15 people. What matters is having the right system in the room.
– Leadership team only: works well when the aim is to reset decision-making, expectations, and ways of working at the top and then cascade clearer rhythms to the wider team/department.
– Whole department / function: works well when the friction is happening across the group (handoffs, priorities, rework, “we keep revisiting decisions”).
If you’re unsure, we can explore this in our initial call together to decide the smallest group that can make meaningful change without making it heavy.
The price depends on the size of team and the logistics around face to face vs online sessions. Assume a budget of between £3,250 and £5,000 for a team of up to 15 people.
How do you handle confidentiality and psychological safety?
We hold an initial briefing with teh team about the programme to agree the foundations before anything begins. We explore things like purpose, expectations,
confidentiality, and visibility. Boundaries are set upfront (what will be shared, with whom, and at what level of detail). The diagnostic is used as a mirror of the team patterns as a whole and no individual data is shared. We treat the diagnostic as a doorway into conversation, not a verdict on the team’s ‘performance’ or who is to blame. The structure we use helps people speak honestly without being exposed. The aim is a conversation that is safe enough to be real and structured enough to lead to action.
We aim for the team to feel enabled to pursue the agreed actions internally. However, sometimes deeper team issues emerge from the ReSet that are not predictable at the outset. We can provide follow-on team coaching if this would help the team unpack and address any deeper team issues that emerge.
We generally recommend a full day workshop if face-to-face or two half day sessions if online. Where the team is working in a hybrid set up, we recommend moving the workshop online to ensure people feel equally present and seen. If you are looking for this session as part of your away day, we can arrange a half day face to face and then the second part online another day. We can discuss what works best for your team.
